Jacket Installation

Sika offers high-performance cementitious (HPC) grout materials for the installation of offshore oil and gas infrastructure, including jacket foundations, subsea manifolds, mooring yokes for FPSOs, and grouted anchors. These grouts are used for skirt pile connections or rock socket connections for drilled piles.

Developed for rapid strength development, Sika’s shrinkage-compensated and highly flowable HPC products are robust substitutes for OPC and other oil well cement slurries in subsea grouting applications. Design strengths are typically reached within 24 hours, enabling fast completion of installation work.

The use of Sika’s HPC grout materials over conventional OPC and oil well cement products significantly reduces the risk of leakage, eliminates the need for circulation, and results in substantially lower material consumption and contingency requirements.

Thanks to the high viscosity and strong internal cohesion of the mixed material, there is no risk of cement dispersion or dilution, resulting in faster offshore installation operations.
