Monopile Foundations
Sika offers cementitious grout solutions for both structurally grouted and bolted monopile/transition piece (MP/TP) foundations. In structurally grouted connections, the grout serves as the primary load-transfer element at the MP/TP interface, while in bolted flange-type foundations, it acts as a durable infill within the MP/TP skirt annulus.
Sika’s ultra high-performance grouts — SikaGrout®-9500, SikaGrout®-9550, and SikaGrout®-9970 — are formulated for exceptional strength, stiffness, and shrinkage control, enabling structurally reliable MP/TP designs.
For bolted MP/TP annuli, our high-performance grouts SikaGrout®-9600 and SikaGrout®-9800 offer a volume-stable, robust infill that provides seawater exclusion and lateral load transfer throughout the foundation’s lifespan. These materials deliver consistent quality and performance beyond conventional OPC grouts while remaining cost-effective.
All MP/TP grouts in Sika’s offshore grout portfolio are formulated for high flowability, flow retention, and rapid strength gain. The portfolio also includes certified solutions for drilled-and-grouted piles, featuring high viscosity and internal cohesion to prevent cement washout — ideal for fast offshore installation using bulk delivery systems.
