Ultra high-strength (UHPC), fiber-reinforced grout with advanced nano-engineered technology and anti-washout properties, ideal for repairing offshore structures.

SikaGrout®-9920 is a ready-to-use, cement-based, fiber-reinforced system that produces a flowable, cohesive ultra-high performance cementitious (UHPC) mix with rapid development of high compressive strength when mixed with Sikacrete®-625 Steel Fibres and water. Featuring advanced nano-engineered binder technology with a blend of Portland, pozzolan, and special cements, SikaGrout®-9920 offers exceptional ductility, strength, and durability. Ideal for repairing offshore structures, it provides superior mechanical properties, including higher compressive and tensile strength, stiffness, and cracking resistance compared to high-performance cementitious (HPC) grouts. Its cohesiveness and anti-washout technology ensure effective placement in narrow formworks, producing durable repairs in challenging offshore environments. Additionally, SikaGrout®-9920 is chloride-free, shrinkage-compensated, with low water permeability and high resistance to aggressive ions.

SikaGrout®-9920 Pre-blend bags must be protected from moisture, freezing, and always kept dry in its original packaging. When stored under high temperature and high humidity conditions, the shelf life may be reduced.

Application steps

NOTES ON INSTALLATION

  • SikaGrout®-9920 has been especially formulated for use in specific applications. As such SikaGrout®-9920 should be installed by experienced fully trained contractors.

  • Sands or other products that could affect the products properties must not be added.

  • SikaGrout®-9920 which will be exposed to strong drying conditions, e.g. mortar which is directly exposed to heavy wind and/or direct sunlight, should be protected using appropriate curing agents.

MIXING

SikaGrout®-9920 is to be mixed in an adequate paddle mixer. The powder is added into mixer followed by potable water and mixed for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on effectiveness of the mixer. When mix has achieved flowable consistency, Sikacrete®-625 Steel Fibres may be added into the mixer, and continue mixing for 1 to 2 minutes, until a uniform flowing mixture is obtained. Total mixing duration should be at least 7 minutes at ambient temperature of 20 °C to 30 °C. Longer mixing time is required at lower temperature. Amount of water required depends on ambient temperature and varies from 10.0 % to 10.8 % by mass of powder. Water demand is higher with higher temperature. SikaGrout®-9920 can be mixed and used within ambient temperature from 20 °C to 30 °C. This product is a special cementitious material that shall only be applied by trained, qualified and professional personnel.

CLEANING OF EQUIPMENT

Tools and spillages can be cleaned with water while SikaGrout®-9920 is still uncured. Once hardened, the material can only be removed mechanically.
